The area of the "Sudd" (means barrier in arabic) in the newly emerging nation of the Southern Sudan has protected
the wildlife of this region during 20 years of the Sudanese civil war. The Sudd is a huge swamp the size of England, that
the Nile River empties into, during its flow to the sea. Wildlife experts estimate that this region might
hold the greatest concentration of wildlife left in Africa.
This great swamp halted exploration of this region for centuries and today still creates a natural barrier. Our company
will create a tented base camp from which swamp air boats will take clients to see the wildlife. It is our intention to start
tours in December 2008. The dry season (or season of less rain) is November to April when we will offer tours, other
times of the year we must close down due to extreme mud.
More details, prices and dates will be published on this page in Feb of 2008.
