The beach of Huatabampito is a small community of 3 restaurants, a 5 room motel, trailor park, shrimp farm, one dirt road paralle to the beach and about 100 homes. Services of power and water available, all houses have septic tanks. The beach is 16 km from the town of Huatabampo, where you have all the services of gas stations, large grocery stores, post office, beauty salons, hardware stores, etc. The actual beach is a beautiful flat white sand beach that can be driven on for 13 km. Because the beach faces south it has little wave action. The ocean floor is white sand that goes out for a considerable distance so you can wade out perhaps 200 feet before it goes over your head. It is the most popular beach in the area for families. Ownership of land on this beach, for non-Mexican citizens, is a bank trust or fideiocomiso, which is very secure.
