San Ignacio is a small community of 54 houses on a secluded beach in Bahia Navachiste. About 1 hour drive west
of Guasave. Each house has itīs own generator and/or solar sytem for power. A water truck fills cisterns. A community fee
of 8000 pesos per year pays for watchman and beach cleaning. A community association screens people who wish to
buy here. Within Bahia Navachiste there are 14 small islands and many other secluded coves you can reach
by outboard motor boat (panga).
Bahia Navachiste is similiar to the way San Carlos, Sonora (near Guaymas) looked 30 years ago. Same volcanic hills,
many small inviting coves. Only right now there is very little human habitation.
